Jewish Apple Cake
Bake 350 degrees 1hr 15 minutes..sometimes more
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
1/4 orange juice or pineapple juice
2 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
Beat above ingredients (will be fairly thick)
3or 4 apples...I use Granny Smith....peeled ad cut in sections
mixture of cinnamon and sugar (I keep a mixture on hand..about 1/2 cup sugar w/2 tsp cinnamon)
Grease a tubular pan. Pour some batter, apples, cinnamon mixture..repeat and end with batter on top or apples if you like
Can substitute blueberries, peaches...can add nuts, whatever

Aja-that looks perfect! Wish I could have a bite. You should bake a lot more often!
EDIT: And custard with it! Brilliant idea! Will have to give that a go myself.
