Now I'm not entirely sure how to take your post, especially when it's in the ST. PATRICK'S thread.Karl wrote:when are they goung to let us have st georges day?
I'm going to give you two responses to this.
If you're a tad miffed for some reason that there's a St. Patrick's Day, cross off the name "Patrick" on the calender and replace it with George and celebrate it whatever way you see fit.
Second response.....
Us Irish don't care who celebrates it as it's our holiday, and it's not one for merely a night out on the piss or whatever, and some of us celebrate it by going to mass with family and having it as a family day. The rest of the world has their own idea of what it should be and that's their prerogative.
Why not be enthusiastic about something in life instead of always finding negatives or a conspiracy? Surly life has to be more than that?
Either way...... Beannachtai na Féile Pàdraig!

My friend rang me up this morning and said there's a wee film about the Irish pub we're going to tonight on my cable service so I'll get it later on and put it up so you can see where I'm going to. It's quite a lovely place.
Hope you have a good one darlin
People over here use the term "Black and Tan" to refer to a stout.faceless wrote:Black and Tans? Bloody hell, I've never known an ice cream to be named after a bunch of murderous bastards before!Skylace wrote:Anyone fancy a pint?

Notice the difference when it's not plural. And you'll notice at the top of the wiki entry the disambigution between that and black and tanS.
I also thought the pint of stout by the cow was pretty obvious myself.

Anyone fancy a pint?
