I’m in the minority on this but I admire George “gift of the gab” Galloway. Not for dancing in a leotard or pretending to be a moggy licking milk from Rula Lenska’s cupped hands – that made me swear never to wear Lycra, even for £100,000. I rate the Respect MP for Bethnal Green because he was right on Iraq and he’s right on Gaza.
Of course Gorgeous George loves the limelight, his Palestinian-aid convoy a stunt. Militant Islamist supporters preach a hatred I’d disown but he’s a superb orator who never deserved to be chucked out of Labour.
