This is the area we moved to originally when we got to Pittsburgh. We rented a lovely Victorian there. Sadly, when we were looking for a house to buy there weren't many available in the area and those that were didn't fit our needs. It really is a great area with a massive sense of community, especially for a place in the city.
Last year I just went through the house tour but this year I helped with the WOW's (Women of the War Streets) bake sale. We raised money for local charities.
The Monterey Pub shown in the video is one place you can usually be sure to find me on Friday night. (apologies for the ads at the beginning of the video)
