A few comments about tonight's show - firstly, GG talks about China's government being ready to shoot people in the head, with that meaning that it 'works'. Even though as a result of the corruption and cheap building thousands of school-children lie dead after this week's earthquake.

Secondly, he made the claim to be Scottish tonight (apologising as a Scot for the behaviour of Rangers fans in Manchester), which completely goes against his claims to be British and that division of a 'small island' is a problem!

Still, it was a great show in general...

This was at the beginning of the show, and was referring to anyone corruptly involved with buildings which were substantially sub-standard and who pocketed the difference. George's next sentence was "It's a brutal and ruthless government, but certainly works"

George is on record many times in the past saying he is against capital punishment IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, and nothing in the above show indicates he changed his opinion.

I'm just listening for the first time as I type this. Ya know what I'm interested in? Finding out what happened with Karl!! He was suddenly mysteriously dumped by the producer!

He didn't have a chance to sound like anything. He started by saying how well the Chinese were pulling together in the wake of the disaster, then there was a whole section dumped and it came back just in time for us to hear Karl saying "... sorry, George" and then he went right to an ad break. Maybe he said something really controversial and the producer had to dump it.

But he did come back on a short time later, so maybe it was nothing.
