I'd never thought about the US blocking access to the main cables - but it makes sense. That gives a great answer to all those people who say the net's not available in Cuba. With any luck they'll get a system sorted that goes through Venezuela or similar.

the prices of those computers is shocking though - for that much they should be getting pretty high-grade computers, but I doubt they are...
