Super Bowl

Post by Skylace »

The Super Bowl actually meant something to me this year as the NY Giants were in it. I am happy to report they just won. I am so happy I could burst. I rarely get excited about sporting events so this is abnormal for me. Regardless, I am just chuffed. And before anyone asks, I've been a fan since around the age of 5!

I only just watched the action on the news (2 minutes worth, right!) - it's always good to see the underdogs winning, but the fact it was against a team called Patriots made it great!

My one game of the year....a bit like non footy fans watching the FA Cup.

Cracking game though - how Manning avoided being pulled down before he made that miracle pass near the end is beyond me.

That was an amazing play for sure Maycm. I was jumping up and down at that one. It was a once and a lifetime play.

lucky buggers...Manning, a face you just want to hit. Their D was quality but offence sucked....though how he didn't go down under those sacking attacks, luck, but it was the best play, catching the ball on the head.

Though don't know why the Pats didn't go for it when they were 4/2 but went for it at 4/17 when they could have punted a field goal. Brady was well off his mark and shouldn't have played injured, rushing game with Welker, Mahroney etc, they would still have won it, but that's how Brady got his start, being second string and pulling it off when the starting QB got injured and didn't want the same thing happening to him.

Still, 18-1, that's better than the 72 Dolphins even if they didn't win the bowl.

This is a real book, listed on Amazon.com - search for it if you like.

I think the author of this "went to soon"
