Christmas Light Show

Post by eefanincan »

Driving around, looking at Christmas lights is one of my favourite things to do this time of year. Post some pictures or videos of some of your favourites.

This is a video someone has posted on YouTube of some of the Christmas lights in my city. The two houses at the beginning are amazing to see up close --- the video doesn't do them justice. The neighbours actually help each other out in putting them up and the one guy has to take a week off work in the fall just to get all his lights ready. But people come from miles around to see them.

pretty impressive for sure - I was round at a pal's yesterday and saw some houses done up pretty well nearby, and would have taken some pics if I'd had my camera, so next time...

That is amazing!

I've not been to look around here yet to see what the lights are like. However, we do have a house on our street that I just love. I'll have to take a picture as well.

I loved the skating rink all set up as well!

The kids and I drove around tonight looking at lights. We found a house with the lights synched to a radio station! SOOOOO COOOL!

I have a mini display myself. Nothing big deal - icicle lights on the house, lights on the bushes, a light up train, candy canes lining the dive and my newest addition this year ... two snow men. I do the multi-color lights because to me it looks like gumdrops.

I heard about that house with the lights linked to the radio station on the news.... it was to Winter Wizards by Transiberian Orchestra, if I remember correctly. Pretty cool!

And I'm with you on the multi-coloured lights as well... they do look like gumdrops :) They're especially pretty looking against the white snow (not that you get that where you are).
