Testing your connection speed

Post by faceless »

I just found this site www.speedtest.net - click it and you can see the speed that you're actually getting from your ISP (rather than what they might advertise!). You can also check global stats and find out what company offers the best service in your town.

that's fantastic pirty - you could run a proper server from home with that! Here's mine, it's pretty pish for something that's supposed to be 20mb/s, but it's good enough for most things...

I hate to see what I'll get in Denmark, that's for sure. We are already looking at what they have in that town, and it's not that great. I think it'll do for what I do, but I like the speed I get here.

I have Optimum online, but I pay an extra 10 bucks for something called "boost". It means it's giving me what I should get in the first place...lol! I don't know technically though. I'd have to go online and see what it says. I'll let ya know later.
