Tonight's TalkSport Show

Post by nekokate »

Tonight's show was the best show in months. Does anyone agree?

I've got a YouTube account that I use to upload audio clips of George, and I've not found much that I really wanted to put up for a while, and in tonight's show there was quite a lot that I'm already planning on getting uploaded!

yeah, it was a good one for sure. I'm sure it's the fact that they've stopped with the musical interludes that's helped...

I'm just getting ready to listen to it, but I have to agree that last night's show was better than it has been for a while. (Except for GG's steadfast defense of Russia in Chechnya, which I find difficult to grasp.)

Sure Chechnya is part of Russia... but how is this different from the other breakaway republics, aside from the fact that Chechnya did not successfully break-away?

Regarding Chechnya, I can't recall the exact words said, but I think the underlying issue with George is that the Chechnyans were armed by the West (like Osama Bin Laden's Taliban in Afghanistan).

I do recall the caller saying the Chechnyans blew up 3 apartment blocks in Russia, which enabled Putin to launch the attack against the Chechnyans. However, I think there was a lot of talk that these 3 apartment bombings were "false-flag" operations.

I missed big chunks of it because of a visit :( but he seemed to be taking less nonsense than usual, especially from the Rangers mob, because of the sombre occasion. V. good show, but I did like the musical interludes, and hopefully they'll be back.

Strange though when you analyse it, the tone was, and had to be, more serious because of a series of FAILED attacks in Britain than on a "normal" week when all the successfull attacks in Iraq are highlighted.
