Harold Pinter

Post by mickyv »

Following Harold Pinter being honoured by France last week, by being presented with its highest award, the Legion D'Honneur, it reminded me that I had not actually seen the complete Nobel Lecture he gave when he won the Nobel Prize in Literature 2005. After tracking it down, and seeing the whole thing, I realise the extent as to what a brave, profound and powerful speech it was. I urge all those who have only seen clips or extracts, to make the effort to view the complete lecture;

I started to watch it but the sound quality is really poor even on the so-called "high quality" version. Shame really.

Try watching it on one of the YouTube links. This one seems ok;
