Although the article doesn't state it the photo was taken by Oscar Marzaroli (he's also deceased). He documented huge changes in the Glasgow of the 50's & 60's going from Victorian tenements to the much more modern city it is today- You can find his site here

Have you heard of the band "Deacon Blue"? They featured a lot of Oscar's photos most famously this one:
He captured loads of stunning images...one of my favourite photographers.

I will have to see if I have heard any of their music. I'm usually better at remembering songs then the bands!
