George Galloway - Mother of All Talk Shows in New York

Apparently GG's to be doing a one hour 'The Mother Of All Talk Shows' every Wednesday morning at 9am from this week on. That's 2pm for those in the UK as the US put their clocks forward on Sunday.

I used to listen to WBAI years ago. There's some good stuff, but it's mainly a liberal station. I'm sure when I listened to it, it was on AM. I like these kind of stations away from the mainstream bore sometimes. Good luck to George and his new show.

Just listening to this station now. Charlie Wolf, of all people is currently on...slagging off George.

Notice George will only be on for an hour, which isn't much time at all for 'the mother of all talk shows'!

Did I hear right last week, he won't be doing Talksport for another 6 weeks?

yeah, no talksport for 6 weeks modern - becaue he's standing for the Scottish parliament he's not allowed to broadcast.

even though it was only an hour, it was good - better than his talksport show, he seems more free to say what he wants, where as on talksport he seems very limited now

i mean, the last few months he should have been in his element on talksport with all thats been going on, yet i've got bored of his show because they make him talk about lots of crap which i'm sure if he had the choice he wouldn't talk about. i still usually listen to it, but i end up not really listening. his presstv show, even though only half an hour, has become more interesting

hopefully if his american show becomes popular they might extend it

Totally agree Luke; I haven't tune in to hear him for weeks now, as the shows now are so bland, whereas at one time I was willing to sacrifice almost anything not too miss a show; Talksport have killed all that was riveting about his programme, and if he was not doing good things with the money they pay him, I was advise him to jack it in; maybe that's why he is exploring new radio possibilities such as the US show.

yep, the reason I've been posting the Comment and Real Deal shows as streams recently is precisely because the talksport show has become so sanitised.

In the new show GG said he'd be doing future editions from Edinburgh - so he must be pretty confident about winning the seat at the Scottish elections.

there doesn't seem to have been a show today - hopefully they're making sure there's a decent connection for GG to speak through for next time. Even skype would do!

Indeed. I think they said last week there might not be a show this week. My linux box is set to record from 9-10 am EST either way. :D

What happened 34 minutes into today's program?

It sounds like his line was disconnected and wasn't re-established for ~5 minutes.

Technical problems, I presume.

I think George will soon get tired with all these 'truthers', phoning in!
