Well the Black Eyed Peas are entertaining, even though the sound tech is pish!

I didn't care who won, I am not a fan of either team, although based on the division that the Bucs spent most of their time in, I had a hard time cheering for the Packers. I thought the halftime show and the commercials were lackluster. Overall, I am glad that I had something else to do while it was on.

I thought the Black Eyed Peas sucked, but then again, I was never a fan of them. Apparently most people felt the same way from what I'm hearing, so I don't feel I'm being that biased.  I stopped watching the game just after the second half started. I felt the packers were dominating, and would most likely win, and I'm not that into football and felt I could do something more enjoyable with the remaining time. lol

The problem was with their sound-technician - I can't believe for a minute that whoever it was was the usual person they use. So many cues dropped - the band were always on time though.

Also, I was really shocked to see the massive 'LOVE' graphic on the field - that must have infuriated 99% of the viewers... damn hippies with their LOVE!

What's funny is that's the part most people here liked! Everyone seems to like that feel good stuff. Personally I thought they were terrible. Flatter then day old cola

but the reason they sounded flat was because the woman's the only singer while the rest rely on the correct mic setups - in the same way as that 'Slash' needs pedals for his guitar for reverb etc.

I thought Fergie was just as bad. Her singing was terrible. As was her outfit.

The Superbowl seems to be more about commercials and half-time entertainment than it is about football

And the commercials feel flat this year as well. There were a few good ones, but nothing major. Not to mention one of the best ones they had already released on the internet the week before. I mean honestly? They said they did it so people would be interested and talk about it and then want to watch it during the super bowl.
Um...don't you realize that we already did watch it? And that we could just watch it whenever we wanted on our computers? They just don't get it.

I said this over in the NHL thread, but -- apologies to my Pittsburgh mates on the Couch -- we here in DC were ecstatic! Pittsburgh went 0 for 2 on that Sunday: first a Penguins loss to the Washington Capitals (yee-ha!) and then a loss to Green Bay in the Superbowl.

Karma's a bitch, eh Pitt? :cunning: :wink2:
