I was kind of hoping for france, so that for once the whole of ireland 'd be supporting england for a couple of hours. 'course they could meet in the semis ....

the us do have a couple of good players, problem is, that they both play in goal

I think they would have done the explaining anyway...whether she was there or not. She is from South Africa, so she probably knows how it works.

We are pretty happy with the draw. I am sure England thinks we are going to just lay down, but we won't. Good luck to all the teams!

Looks like I'm gonna have to watch some soccer just so I can root for the USA! Yay! Soccer is definitely not my country's strong suit, but I'll wish them luck sprinkled with a little bit of miracle grow.
