I really hate these arseholes singing 'God save the Queen'. If they really believe that she's so important, then I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. But then, they've only got that or 'ingerland, ingerland, ingerland', the unimaginative bastards.

Come on Slovenia!

'Rule Britannia' is the worst one for me...down with imperialism, baby. The morons that sing it, don't even realise it's connotations, I bet.

As for the English national anthem, how about Vindaloo by Fat Les?

2-1 for Germany now - come on those plucky Krauts!

I just saw the replay of the goal which was disallowed for England. What a shame that is... not because they lost the goal, but if they lose the game, we in the non-inglander speaking world will have to suffer it being mentioned at EVERY OPPORTUNITY for the next few years and beyond!

'Mon ra Jormans!

Without being too biased, I think Germany have played well, but I reckon Argentina will win the tournament.

The picture in that story is strangely funny... but the story's better!

I AM biased and I thought they played great! :) That being said, the goal by Lampard should have been allowed. If it had ended at 2-1, it wouldn't have felt right.

Not sure who's going to win the cup, but I'll enjoy the matches until then :)

As they say in Germany, Ein Prosit! :cheers1: :cheers1:

I can see another 4-1 coming. I wonder what the eventual score would have been had the linesman given the goal.

I wonder as well.... would the English have felt more "motivated" by the goal - I don't know. Still, I would think they're professional enough to move on from a bad call by the officials.

It's not so much motivation as momentum. If the English thought that the momentum was going their way, and the Germans thought that they were losing it, who knows.

Still the defence was rubbish, as was the Germans. I think they'll have real problems against the Argies ..

It's 2-1 to Holland against Brazil now, with 25 minutes to go in the quarter final. Come on the Dutch!

Come on the Argies! It's 1-0 to Germany now, with 30 minutes to go... but Argentina have played much nicer football in general, so I want them to get through. Also, any excuse to stop the commentators saying SCHWEINSTEIGER! would be good...

but oh no, they've just scored again... dagnabbit!
