no its not a boat, its 4 million tons of rock - or plymouth breakwater as its known. you can't tell from the picture but its a mile long! it took 30 years to build!

I posted these in another thread, so thought I might was well include them here. (Thank-you, Luke for the link to autostitch. It made the Frank Slide 'panorama' a cynch.)
Christina Lake

Frank Slide (located at Crowsnest Pass)

Kootenay Pass - I believe it's the highest stretch of road in Canada. (Apologies for the graininess; taken with the camera in my phone.)

I haven't been out boating there yet. (Don't own a boat.) But everytime I drive by (it's only about an hour away) I have to stop to soak up the view.
Kootenay Pass is also < 1 hr away in the opposite direction. There are two ski hills within a 30 minute drive (and another - Big White - about 2.5 hrs away).
Here's another photo of Kootenay Pass taken in the summer

And the small lake at the top

Still snow in June

And (to switch things up) the Lion's Gate Bridge in Vancouver

I was very impressed by autostitch. It was painless to use -- does all the heavy lifting for you.
