Confessions of a randy dandy (Russell Brand features)
I fucking hate the British public again - all these idiots screaming about something that wasn't important just shows how stunted they are. Apparently 2 people complained on the night when it was broadcast, but since then around 5000 people have complained after reading about it.
Even Galloway last night was going on about how he would never have believed that Radio 2 would have swearing on it! He had one guy on his show who said he'd phoned in to complain, at which point Galloway asked him if he'd got the number from him when he read it out erarlier - the guy said 'No, I had the number already' What kind of pathetic little arse has the complaints number for the BBC to hand?
Andrew Sachs didn't deserve these stupid calls, but he's been in show business all his life, so I'm sure he's seen and heard a whole lot worse than this in his 80 years.

I've just remembered that not so long ago Russ did the same thing to Duncan Bannatyne - leaving three or four of this type of message on his answerphone - and nobody gave the slightest damn. The next week, Bannatyne rang the studio and good naturedly told Russy off, saying it was the most ridiculous performance he'd ever heard, and then they just generally had a laugh.
The moral-highground types are really pissing me off the way they're jumping on this bandwagon - it's more the fact that they see an opportunity to pretend to be appalled in the hope the BBC will be forced to sack Russ. That thing about there being only two complaints at the time (and none to do with Sachs specifically) and then as soon as it's in the papers there's thousands of people coming out from under their stones...
And I don't know what happened with the Che thing, maybe it's on hold because of the similar Benicio Del Toro movie.
I noticed the Russ fansite is down. It wouldn't surprise me if they got loads of dickheads joining just to post bullshit.

Yeah, the fansite went down today. We have to remember that this whole debacle is over a week old - the fansite was discussing it as it happened and there's tons of threads there about it. It's only since the Mail decided to get around to pretending to be all shocked that it's got into the mainstream media.faceless wrote:Had you seen the fan site in the last couple of days Kate? I didn't even think to check...
It's amazing how this has got everyone talking - even Rich Herring is posting about it on other people's blogs and he's also come under attack since in defense of Russ he mentioned that he's often said inappropriate things too but he's edited them out of his podcast (which he has always billed as an un-edited rant! oops!)
If things carry on like this, in 20 years we'll have people asking us if we remember where we were when he first heard that Russell fucked Manuel's granddaughter...
Apparently she had Brand as her top pal on MySpace.
Funny if it turns out he has fucked her...

Seshme, I have no doubt that he has had sex with her. I'd put money on it. Hell, I'd have sex with her!
The more I think about this the more I am truly amazed that the media have decided to make something of this particular story. I have heard every single Russell Brand show since he started with Karl Pilkington on BBC 6 Music, all through the classic stuff with Matt Morgan and Trevor Lock, up to the recent guest co-host stuff on BBC Radio 2 with Noel Gallagher, Noel Fielding and Simon Amstel, and Russell is ALWAYS like this. It's nothing new. The Daily fucking Mail have had literally years to opine about how "disgraceful" he is, yet apparently they've only just got around to it!
He did an interview with Chrissie Hynde where he was similarly inappropriate and mentioned he'd shagged her daughter - Daily Mail response: Nothing.
He left rude and laddish messages on Duncan Bannatyne's answerphone over the radio - Daily Mail response: Nothing.
He left ENORMOUSLY inappropriate messages on Dita Von Teese's answerphone live on radio - Daily Mail response: Nothing.
He interviewed the news anchor, Huw Edwards, and pretended to want him to bum him and treat him like a little girl - Daily Mail response: Nothing
He asked the guy who did the voice of Zippy from the kids show Rainbow if Zippy was secretly gay and bumming that hippo fella, and how big the puppet's cock was.
I could go on!! Haha!
Hypocritical and ignorant wankers to make such a big deal out of this one incident. I didn't find the Sachs messages funny and I remember thinking at the time that it was in poor taste, but with the scapegoat witch-hunt this is turning into I have no choice but to side with Russell.
I fink ee dun rong, but this is the equivalent of calling for someone's beheading for running a stop sign.

The Mail using it to sell papers is no surprise it's got the Manuel angle, the excuse to tut whilst printing rude pictures all the usual shit.
What I object to are the politicians. The Tory prick on Radio 5 was comparing it to the Kelly case and calling for the DG of the BBC to resign for residing over a culture of 'vulgarity'. Best quote was 'I don't care if programs like Little Britain are popular, hard core pornography is popular.'
I took that as a call for porn on the BBC and support him in that.
Of course 95% chance after preaching to the plebs he went to his flat in Chelsea(which we all pay for) and got his secretary to insert various root vegetables into him.

The world has gone completely mad.
They won't be happy until we have the equivalent of the US FCC here.
