Hallowe'en

Post by eefanincan »

OK... it's a bit early, but I know one of our Couchtrippers has already decorated a bit for Hallowe'en! How about everyone else? Do you decorate ? What are your celebrations?

We do a little bit but wait until about a week before. Sometimes my husband does a couple of jack 'o' lanterns but not sure if he will this year. But I did buy the candy for he trick or treaters, so at least that bit's done.

Yes, my decorations are already up. Even have some nice lights outside for effect. Will probably be decorating a bit throughout. Gotta get pumpkins to paint and carve, some hay, cornstalks, dear god I am obsessive.

Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. I love the start of fall, I love the colors and the fun. It is also my brother's birthday so it was always a lot of fun around my house.

While I don't treat or treat anymore, I now love to wait for the little goblins to come by mine and look at the costumes and give them tasty treats. And this year, since we are finally members of Costco, the lucky devils will be getting full sized candy bars.

Yes, you were the "couchtripper" in question

I really do love watching the little ones come to the door all dressed up, especially the really little ones, who look so scared or excited that they can barely remember to say "Trick or treat" or "Thank you" and then you've got the parent reminding them to remember their manners, etc. It's all so cute :)

@pirty --- at eating your Hallowe'en candy --- we tend to do the same thing, so this year I bought something that we don't like quite as much so we won't be tempted to dip into it before the big day.

It's a religious holiday for me, so in addition to all the fun, I have th solace of my faith! Pretty cool....

oooh, love reeses peanut butter cups! How'd you know that was in my candy bag? lol! Also twix! Yum! I'm afraid if I bought candy I didn't like, I'd still find myself eating it out of being desperate for a snack...lol!

I might buy one of those cute halloween shirts on sale at the Walmart that light up when it senses motion in front of you. They have a lot of cute ones!

ok, I've sorted out the Halloween theme to be fully working now - at least I think I have, if anyone sees any problems please say.

It will be switched on for everyone for the 10 days up to Halloween, but you can try it now via your profile page.

we've used that one for a couple of years now and while I still like it I'm thinking if I get my act together I could do a whole new one - I'll see how it goes
