Occupied Wine

Post by major.tom »

Here's a short news item on wineries in the Occupied Golan Heights:

<object height="400" width="600"> <param name="movie" value="https://www.humyo.com/E/504203-141478043"> <embed src="https://www.humyo.com/E/504203-141478043" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="600" height="400"></embed> </object>

Please let me know if you have any problems with it. It's in xvid/mp3 format, 84.7 MB, 10m41s.

cheers for that Major - it works fine and the quality is ideal.

It's pretty offensive to the Islamic tradition just by being alcohol, but to make it on occupied land is something else.

I'm gonna check in my local specialist wine shop and see if they have any - I doubt it though.

Thanks for letting me know, Faceless.

I must be thick -- the irony of making wine on the occupied territory of a (predominantly) Muslim nation never occurred to me. Remember to look in the "Other" section of your wine shop.

I saw a news article this morning about an archaelogical find in "Galilee" -- according to the clip above, that's what Israel calles the occupied Golan Heights. (Galilee Cave Reveals Secrets of Hunter-Gatherers)
