Fake Sheik to HarperCollins

HarperCollins will be publishing the memoirs of the "Fake Sheik", whose journalistic stings for the News of the World have involved Sven-Goran Eriksson, George Galloway and David Mellor. 'Confessions of a Fake Sheik' by Mazher Mahmood will be published in September. World rights were acquired from Mahmood by Jonathan Taylor, publishing director for non-fiction. HarperCollins' parent company News Corporation also owns the News of the World.
HarperCollins said the book was a "gripping and hugely entertaining account of a life behind the headlines. "He will also tell the behind-the-scenes stories of how he exposed corrupt officials, drug dealers, paedophiles, people traffickers and terrorists, leading to a total of 230 criminal convictions so far," it said.

I'm sure it will be quite the story. I wonder what he'll say about Galloway exposing him?
