
Comedian's widow opens Les Dawson exhibition

Comedian Les Dawson's widow Tracy has opened an exhibition featuring the entertainer's work in his home town of Lytham. he one-off display contains rare photographs and memorabilia never before seen in public. Among the items on show are the typewriter which he used to write all his scripts, a wide range of theatre posters and the actual costume Les was wearing when he was surprised by This Is Your Life.
Tracy said: "I am delighted to be able to share these aspects of Les's work with his fans. Wherever I go people hold him in huge affection and therefore it's lovely to be able to stage this event".
The exhibition at the town's Heritage Centre runs until April 12.
