Lucky indeed. I can see though, how the lion might have thought she was playing with it, easily confusing her blonde hair with a mane. Reminds me of the tiger attack during the Sigfreid and Roy show in Las Vegas -- they thought the tiger was protecting the guy and just didn't know his strength.

Scary. It's cool to hang with wildlife in their habitat, but you have to remember that it is you that is out of your element. A 400lb cat is going to do exactly what it wants to and what it is programmed to do by nature. In this case, eefan, I think you may be right. If that lion had wanted to kill her, she'd be dead.
