Phone Rage

Post by faceless »

I just saw a trailer for a new documentary about 'Phone Rage'. I hope that one of my rants against corporate scumbag cold-callers is on it! People in those jobs seem to think it's ok to bother people because 'it's my job', but why? When I point out to them that they're interrupting my day just so that they can make a few quid it never seems to hit home unless I insult them - at which point they pull the 'I'm sorry Sir, but my script says that I should talk to you like a robot instead of as someone whose mojo I just fucked up'

Bawbags, the lot of them! :nyer:

I'll try to get the documentary uploaded, though I'm not sure if the red-mist will have faded by then - haha

Sounds like a great show.

I agree with you as well Face. Of course, my husband generally handles those calls. He made one of them cry once

I agree with both of you..... had some guy call last night and I had to ask him three times where he was calling from because I couldn't understand him. Then the next thing you know, he's asking for the PIN for my account (he was from our telephone company) so he can save me $10/mth. Sounded too fishy to me so I hung up.

Face, if you haven't heard this telemarketer prank by Tom Mabe, you need to check it out. It's too damn hilarious!

this doc was pish. Its whole point was to make us feel bad for shouting because it might be someone who is either an x factor reject or a person from a deprived economy.

Arses to them!

Sorry to hear the doc wasn't as good as hoped.... I was kind of interested to see it, but if that's all it's about, then it doesn't sound like much of a program.
