Depressed Stacey hits the bottle to try to get over her bitter split from Bradley. But after drinking herself into a stupor in R&R, she collapses and is rushed to hospital!
The troubled market trader’s desperate actions leave her family and friends at their wits’ end.
“Stacey hits the self-destruct button,” admits Lacey Turner, who plays her.
“She drinks to forget her problems, but one thing leads to another.”
At the start of the week, Stacey is so down that she has lost all interest in work. To make matters worse, she learns that if she fails to meet the payments on her stall by that evening, she'll have to give it up.
In desperation, Stacey resorts to selling her stock off at knock-down prices, which brings in a roaring trade. After a successful day, she is approached by a salesman called Roger, who makes her an offer she can’t refuse on a new clothing range.
However, Mo recognizes the bloke, who she knows by the nickname of ‘Roger the Dodger’ and starts to panic.

“Mo suspects something is wrong,” reveals Lacey. “If a deal seems too good to be true, then it usually is!”
Later, Stacey comes home from a boozy night on the tiles.
Despite Mo telling her what she knows about Roger, Stacey is too hungover to care. Instead, she steals money from Jean’s purse to go out on the lash again.
Swigging from a bottle of vodka, fed-up Stacey gets out some matches and decides to torch the faulty stock she got from Roger.
Concerned at her daughter’s drunken state, Jean confronts Stacey but she tells her mother that she is going out again to get even more wasted.
“Stacey very rarely asks anyone for help,” says Lacey. “She doesn't think there is any point at this stage. Everything has gone wrong for her and nothing is going to stop her drinking.”
Worried Jean orders Sean to look out for his wayward sister. When he sees Stacey lining up the drinks in R&R, Sean begs her to slow down.
When she almost falls off a bar stool, Jack orders Sean to take her home. Before he can lead her out, however, Stacey loses consciousness and slumps to the floor in a lifeless heap¿
“Who knows what will happen to Stacey,” says Lacey. “But this could be the wake-up call she needs.”
