A joker has changed his name to Russell Sprout to match the nickname his mates had given him.
But Russell, who was born Russell De-Ath, does not like the vegetable.
And he says it has cost him jobs because prospective employers think he is taking the mickey.
The council tax officer, 26, of Southampton, said: "My mates were always daring me to change my surname and in the end I thought why not?"
