Former EastEnders star tops US box office

Former 'EastEnders' star Seán Maguire's new film, 'Meet the Spartans', opened in the US last weekend, heading straight to the top of the box office with takings of $18.7m. Maguire, who played Aidan in 'EastEnders', appeared in 63 episodes of the soap between 1993 and 1994.

The actor plays King Leonidas in 'Meet the Spartans', which spoofs classical battle films like '300' and 'Troy', and co-stars Carmen Electra, Kevin Sorbo and Method Man.

Jeez, I wouldn't have recognised him if it hadn't stated his role & time on the show. If I remember correctly, Aidan was a young football player who got involved with Kathy Beale's long-lost daughter, right?

I recall him on the drugs & recall him going to top himself... never saw the part where he didn't, thus assumed he'd gone the way most do....

Thanks for the info on his character Sky --- this was the period of time when I couldn't get EE so I really didn't know about him.
