my new cameras arrived :)

its funny, i was having breakfast watching all the birds this morning, loads of different types, and the postman arrives with the new camera ... i set it up ... and every single bird disappears!

alls i managed in the end was this rather boring looking one.

still, this was shot through the kitchen window - the zoom is amazing :)

Looks nice for sure. But that's a shame about the birds disappearing. Murphey's Law working right there. I am sure next time you'll get more.

Nice one luke! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with your new toy. Just think, it's arrived in time for you to get lots of practice before the holidays :)

yeap i'm a having fun eefanincan :) not much on the bird front today except this little robin who wouldn't really stay still long enough - and the squirrels. i've been feeding these for ages now, theres three of them - or at least i've seen three of them at once. two different types, bushy tail and rat tail - the bushy tails are the bosses and will chase rat tail away. but the big bosses are these two huge pigeons which i think i've overfed - no one messes with them when they're about  i'll try get a pic of them, no bird says london like the pigeon :)

good luck with santa skylace, you can't go wrong with a nikon dsl

thanks faceless :)

nice one skylace, he is a bit cheeky! these things aren't that bold. the smallest sound and they leg it - but they have to careful because the cats of the street have realised whats been going on and can often be found stalking about the place ...

Same here luke. Our dogs usually do a good job of scaring them when we go for walks. All though I am tempted to bring some treats without the pups to see if I can inspire them to smile for the camera.
