So why is that strange ?

There is a form to fill in if you want a refund .. and it is on the web site. So fill it in.

Every company has a procedure to get things done .. and most involve some type of form. Why are you hesitant to fill it in ?

First thing is to prove that he did pay .. and isn't making this up.

If he paid via paypal, he could quote the "Transaction ID" and "payment date" .. that would be proof (whilst not revealing confidential info)

Can you tell us how you paid and when ? Why is that irritating ?

You are complaining you didn't get a refund. I am offering to help you get it. But you are not explicitly saying anything. Your posts don't even explicitly say you paid for a ticket.

p.s. I thought I got you to agree that there was no need for the work to be declared. That is not my ignorance.

p.p.s. What "thought police" / "witch hunt" ? I am very open to debate, but am right to wonder why someone who says they "love" george can act similar to a right wing neo-con in attacking George.

Had to come back to this. The header in LARGE BOLD on the web site says

Claiming a refund on the cancelled conference

How much clearer does it have to be that this is for a ticket REFUND ?

So Turley didn't announce himself in welcome {even after prompting); didn't fill out the refund form; hasn't said how or when he paid (if at all); hasn't waited more than a few days; isn't taking up my offer of help; and is complaining that he doesn't know how long people will have to wait for a refund; is nitpicking about cheques being forwarded if someone posts to Parliament ? Something's fishy here.
