So you were booked to go to Blackpool ?B.Turley wrote:I love George.
I just dont understand why the strange finances and staffing.
What strange finances and staffing ? George runs a v. small party with v. limited resources. The Blackpool show would have raised much needed money. Now it is a problem, especially with the legal and court fees .. thanks to the conservative donating company which canceled the event.
Are you angry at all against them ? I checked your postings, they are all anti-George. Tell us more about your "world-view" so I can allay my paranoia that you are just anti-George.
The web site DOES mention about how to get a ticket refund. Please see it (the form is below the top announcement).B.Turley wrote:The website announcement is to fight the legal action not get a ticket refund/
Refunding tickets is not difficult

Thanks Luke .. I agree. Though Turley replied to your later posting, but not to above. I don't see any posting in the "Welcome" posting.luke wrote:before this all gets silly, b.turley - why not introduce yourself to everyone in the welcome forum https://couchtripper.com/forum2/viewforum.php?f=18 and we can all start again![]()
Actually,I've just listened to the show mentioned.
Galloway clearly states that you can send chques to him at Parliament and he'll "post them on" to the people arranging the convention.
Who are actually George himself and his Parliamentary assistant who hasn't declared an interest, both of whom work in the Parliamentary office.
very bloody strange.

The web site has been v. clear who to send the cheques to (or how to pay via PayPal). It was never Parliament. If George on air said people who posted cheques to Parliament would have the cheques forwarded, then that is NOT strange.B.Turley wrote:Actually,I've just listened to the show mentioned.

George is a director of the company - but that doesn't make him the company. The company's offices are NOT parliament. Therefore it is NOT strange that George will forward the cheques to the company. The company is a separate legal entity. So I see NOTHING wrong with what George said. You seem to be picking points to undermine George (reminds me of the Mariam Appeal issue) .. picking on technicalities .. whilst letting the establishment get away with mass murder.
p.s. I am still looking forward to Turley's "welcome" announcement.
