Aja's Chicken Divan ......With A twist ....

Chicken Divan Aja Style.......



2 cups cooked, cubed chicken breast meat
1 pound fresh or frozen broccoli, cooked and chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon curry powder ,,,,or more if u like hot
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
salt and pepper to taste
2 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can French-fried onions ( I use trader joes )


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Spread chicken in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with broccoli. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, curry powder, cayenne pepper, garlic salt, salt and pepper and mix well. Add 1 cup of Cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup and cream of mushroom soup and mix again, then pour mixture over chicken and broccoli.

Sprinkle with remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheese and
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle the onions on top after 30 mins and leave in Oven for a nother 10 mins

The sounds and looks yum! With the colder days heading this way this would make a very filling and warm evening meal!

I've never seen fried onions in a tin - maybe I've never looked though...

This is the brand I prefer and they were in England I remember.

See I am Really turning Yank Face :) not only am I calling Tin's ..Can's.... I forgot thet I have only ever used the Onions in this country :D

Looks yummers Aja!

It might be corny, but ya just gotta have the green bean casserole with French's Fried Onions at least once in your life :lol:

I have A better recipe i used it last year and it was a huge hit ......BUT............I can't find it ..have been looking 2 weeks as soon as i do i will post under thanksgiving recipes .....Its delish I promice :) a long with a couple of others....
