I like the Mercer Report, but missed this episode. If it's recent, he may be trying to ratchet up his "Canadian-ness" in hopes of being let back in the country (if this hasn't happened already). Some Canadians aren't crazy about him and consider his decision to give up his citizenship for a seat in the House of Lords as an affront.
I don't read the National Post, but happened to receive one due to a hotel stay last year. This was on the cover...
