DAMN! That's like giving birth to a one year old! Of course it was c-section! I'd be willing to bet the mother had gestational diabetes and all the potatoes and starches just packed on the pounds for that baby. I wonder how LONG she was?

I think you're bang on with the guess of gestational diabetes.... I know it was my first thought. Although eating all those potatoes and starches wouldn't have helped her blood sugar at all, let alone keep the baby at a decent weight.

Thank goodness for c-sections is all I can say!
