If you go here you'll see that some plum has started a competition where he says he'll give a million quid to anyone who can provide video evidence of Galloway criticising Saddam Hussein. As you'll see I managed to find two quotes from Hansard, but I wonder if they do back-archives so I can claim my winnings? haha

I'm having an on and off debate with this guy on 4 or 5 of his and my videos. Wrestling with a chimneysweep, I know.
I saw this video where he offers £1,000,000 and I was going to comment mentioning Hansard, but I didn't bother.
The way he phrases the challenge, he'll only accept video evidence, so it would be sweet to find some old footage of a public meeting or something.
Having said that, there's no way he'll actually pay up, is there? LOL!

This guy is a know nothing, he thinks its a knockout blow to say "but they wouldn't be arming him during sanctions anyway", he is still ignorant of the fact that we armed him THEN put sanctions on him. AND I don't expect you'll get your million, unless he really has a million in oil for food profits
I've just been having another read through the complete set of comments:

It's absolutely astounding that he's insisting that the Hansard doesn't exist.
And the insistence upon ONLY video evidence is staggeringly self-defeatist - he's basically saying that absolutely unimpeachable evidence will not suffice if it's not in the form of a video. You can deny anything using that technique - I could refuse to accept the validity of someone's birth certificate until they showed it to me tattooed onto the side of an elephant if I wanted, and that would be exactly the same thing! He's been shown absolute proof, so he claims it's not in the correct medium. HAHA!!!

Hansard - 15th March 1991:
Mr George Galloway:
There are those of us, such as myself, who have been Saddam Hussein's bitter opponents for as long as he has been in power in Baghdad. There are people, such as myself, who have marched, petitioned, written, railed and ranted at the dictatorship in Baghdad, and it is bitterly difficult for us to see the attitude of those Conservative Members who did not want to hear what we were saying and who wanted to say little and do even less about the bestialities that were committed by the dictatorship in Baghdad. For them, the dictatorship was merely a bloody good customer. That is the truth of the matter.
