Dramatic moment World War Two plane made emergency landing on motorway

This is the dramatic moment that a World War II-era plane made an emergency landing on a motorway. No injuries were reported after the fighter plane landed on U.S. Highway 41 near Fon du Lac County Airport in southeastern Wisconsin shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.

"A person called and said that there was smoke as the plane came down," said Andy Dothone, a state patrol dispatcher. The highway was closed in both directions as authorities worked to move the plane from the highway, but vehicles were eventually able to pass on the shoulder, he said. The Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper reported that a man and his son were flying the plane to an air show in Oshkosh.

Saw this on this morning's news! They were showing a police man running after a car that had passed the plane yelling at them to stop - completely ignoring the plane that had just landed on the motorway! Sort of comical :D

I was wondering what the cop was doing chasing after the guy - he didn't seem to have done anything and just seemed to want to get on with his day.
