Yep, sad but true. When I first moved back into my mother's house and right after she passed away (like I am going to pay attention to the lawn then!!), I continually got citations from the city that my lawn (translate that as "weeds and sand spurs") were too high and should be mowed, that I was not keeping my lawn to city code. Good thing they have so much time to worry about my lawn!!
I'm on our Homeowners Association Board and one of the regulations that we have to look out for is that no lawn grass should be over a certain height. I've not bothered to check what it is. I'm not that fussy...so long as my neighbours' gardens and lawns don't have rusty cars and pro-life signs in them I'm okay. (My husband's cousin in PA lives next door to the most extreme pro-lifers I have ever heard of - they must have about 30 signs in their front garden). :shock:
