I think there are differences :

+Israel says they are the homeland of all Jews (e.g. right of abode). They thus represent themselves as the representative of world jewry.

Radical islamic plotters don't say they represent all muslims (and indeed, might believe muslims in the UK aren't following their interpretation of Islam).

+Any criticism of Israel is frequently retorted by a claim of anti-semitism .. therefore "linking" the two issues.

+Synagogues outside Israel seem to be "on-message" with defending Israel's actions and promoting Israel's "world view", whilst Mosques in Britain are getting very tightly controlled as to who the Head ("Imam") is, and what he can say.

In comparison MANY muslim leaders (and head of Mosques or communities) DO condemn extremism and terrorism.

Issue isn't for individuals to march .. but the Synagogues should follow the Muslim leaders positions, and distance themselves from Israel's terrorism.

I am sure there are other parallels .. but it's late ..

good point about the congruity of muslims denouncing Muslim atrocities and Jews denouncing Israeli atrocities, (the latter is the "Sovereign state of the Jewish people") It shouldn't be neccessary for rational people to distance themselves from universally abhorrent crimes, however with media binory analysis, and the irrational nature of racism, it so happens that sometimes it is. If Jews are seriously concerned about the spill over of anti-zionism into anti-semitism then ALL the mainstream Jewish organisations should not be unconditionally supporting Israel in everything that it does. Whereas mainstream Muslim organisations have explicity made efforts to distance themselves from radicalism through MPAC and MCB, there simply hasn't been enough effort from mainstream Jewish organisions.
