Birthday Cake Martini

Post by 11antoniacourt »

I'm having a birthday party for my husband at the end of July. A friend told me she recently had a Birthday Cake martini. Anyone heard of this? I'm sure there are a ton of recipes on the 'net. I imagine it would be interesting knocking back a couple of glasses of something that tastes like vodka & cake.

I don't know about vodka and cake, but someone told me they had vodka soaked gummy bears at a party the other day...... sounds good to me! Let us know how the drinks turn out if you find a recipe.

I recently served guests a 'Martini shrimp salad"....

Pretty much called the above as it was served in a martini glass.

I can't think for the life of me how you'd make a clear odourless & tasteless liquid (Vodka) stand out in a cake?
Unless thecake was made with GIN (the original liquor used in a martini before the USA bastardized it).

it may be odourless, but it's not tasteless..have you never heard of the alternative to brandy-butter, 'vodka margarine'?

Had great drink recipes. A Google search returned a ton of dessert drink ideas. And cake ideas. And speaking of maraschino cherries, put away the Zig Zags, I'm in the mood for an ass-kicking Manhattan right now.

How silly of me not to tell you how to make them.....

Take a baking sheet and lay out gummy bears, flat. Pour vodka over top then let them sit overnight... some say in the fridge. Take out, eat and enjoy.

I had a bad run in with some chocolate martini's, so I may have to take everyone's word on this one. I am still not really able to look at them and if I get a whiff, I am done!
