Very, VERY cool news. I heard it troday too, but only that they were in the final stages, not actually done with the deal yet. He was their only class player and he has finally come to his senses! Hooray, L'Arse is going down!!!

The whole thing seems very bizarre to me, but Le Arse are certainly losing a real talent. Who knows, Spurs may end up being only the second worst team in the Premiership this year now.

I thought it sounded weird too - I had the impression he'd be staying at Arsenal until he retired. How old is he now btw? I heard that they paid 16m for him, which seems a hell of a lot for someone with only a few years left in his legs.

That is one thing that really irks me about sports today...and it is all sports...there is no player loyalty anymore, and I am not just taking a shot at Henry because he is not the only one and personally if I had to play a L'Arse, I would want to get the hell out too Players just go where the biggest money is, there is no sticking with a team and pulling them out of a hole. It is in return too, teams will dump a play after an average season without giving him a chance right the situation. I has become SO about money that it cost too much for players and teams work together.

Meanwhile, Spurs pay the ridiculous sum of 16.5 million for Darren Bent.

Clearly they think he is worth more to them than Henry is to Barcelona.

The worlds gone mad I tells ye!

I'm sure that was just some misunderstanding - the manager was asking the chairman for money to prop up the team and his reply was 'GET BENT!' and the rest is poorly structured history...

Yeah, I am not sure what is happening. How they figure that Bent is worth more that Dimitar, I will never know. But, we shall see what we shall see.
