Red Bull gives you wings...or a good gore!

I hate bull fighting and don't blame the poor bugger for going after them!

Certainly the commentators were watching a replay and not watching it live. They didn't sound very excited...

And the drugging it before hand, it's all sick. I agree that it should be outlawed. Sadly, those for it will say it's tradition and part of the cultural heritage and in the long run will win out.
We still have complaints about the cockfighting ban. And now Louisiana is complaining it's going to happen to them.
This is plain animal cruelty and makes me sick.

What got me most when watching a doc about bullfighting was that they will shave the horns so that it's down to the quick. This stops the bull wanting to attack with its horns so much as it's so sore. Poor bastards.

I had no idea that they drug the bull. Or that they shave down their horns. This makes it even worse than I thought.

It's like cutting off a man's hands, pouring a bottle of whiskey down his gullet, then having a duel to the death. It's bad enough they kill the animal for sport, but it's a rigged match to boot.

Downright cowardly, I say.

thats what i was thinking as i read skylaces then faceless' post, it just gets worse - i thought slowly stabbing it to death was bad enough - but oh no, humans can take cruelty to a whole new level and still call it sport - and then defend it because its 'tradition'

humans are strange :?

reminds me of a poem;

i wish i loved the human race
i wish i loved its silly face
i wish i liked the way it walks
i wish i liked the way it talks
and when i’m introduced to one
i wish i thought "what jolly fun!"

I bullfighting were an American national sport rather than a Spanish one, that Bull would have given so many people an excuse to use their piece.

I recon it would have been all holes and no bull within a few seconds. :) ...and that's no bull.
