I'm just watching it on the news just now and I'm wondering why this is a headline? It's just a guy who died in a crash, like the dozens of others who will die today going about their business. Is it because he's rich, or because he was involved in football?

This story came in early, and the fear was that the top people (managers or players) at Chelsea were in it.

i.e. it was the football involvement .. though they tend to be the rich set as well.

When I first posted it, it wasn't announced who was on the plane .. and the rumour mill was running. Quote from the early reports :
"Sources had told Sky News that the club's top officials were on the craft. "
