Does anyone happen to remember which show George talked specifically about what he considered the four seperate classes in Israel, and he listed them with descriptions? I've been searching like crazy for this as I'm in a discussion with someone about it and I'd like to re-listen to what he said and take some notes...
I've done some Google searches, too, but can't seem to bring up the information. I know that one class he spoke of was the Falasha Jews, from Ethiopia, but what were the other three? It's driving me crazy!

I could describe them as :harry perkins wrote:Palestinians in the Occupied Territories - not citizens
"not citizens - can be used as target practice, impoverished, starved, prisoned (individually or collectively) at will"
Somewhere between 3 & 4th class :
"Arabs from overseas : Treated extremely rudely in the hope they never return"
"Arabs from USA: Treat same as other Arabs, since US government makes an exception in Israel's case to allow Israel to do what it wants"
I think this report came out today, and seems very relevant to above

"Black Box / The Israel Prize scandal"
The Israel Prize this year was a scandal. Had I been sitting in the hall at the Jerusalem Theater and not watching the award ceremony on television (Channel 1, Tuesday, 19:25), I am not certain that I wouldn't have stood up and shouted at the panel of dignitaries, never mind how common it might have sounded: "Where are the Mizrahi ethnic groups" (referring to Jews with origins in the Muslim countries), or: "Where are the Sephardim?"
--------
WRH write
"The Sephardim are descended from Hebrews who fled Judea during the revolt of 70AD, and settled in Spain. Unlike the Ashkenazi, the Sephardics can and do trace their genetic lineage back to the holy lands in biblical times. The Ashkenazi are the descendents of Khazars who were forcibly converted around 800 AD."
This isn't a demand for reverse discrimination, but rather for fairness and reasonableness, because how can it be possible that in the 15 prize categories not a single place was found for a worthy candidate who is not Ashkenazi?"

I just came across this interview of Carter :
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/Zf6jxLnflSg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/Zf6jxLnflSg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Two things of note :
+Carter says he was referring to Palestine, and not Israel.
+He referred to the "Jewish Lobby" as part of the "Lobby" (which included, or was part of, the Israeli Lobby). I thought that was not PC to refer to the religion (as you may George's comments last weekend on the radio).
