Which Soaps Do You Watch?

Post by IRiSHMaFIA »

Just wondering...what soaps does everyone watch and which do you like best?

I watch Eastenders and from the States I watch Days of Our Lives.

I like Days because I have watched it since I was six, so I am emotionally attached and also I do love seeing all the cool dresses and styles that they all wear in that glamourous world of American soaps. However, the way some plotlines just drag on and on and on drives me crazy. With EE I love the acting, the bit of extra reality that you don't get in US soaps and yes, even the misery. It is a soap opera after all.

I think it would be a hard toss up between the two. But right now I get to watch EE a lot more the Days.

No need to apologize! I can clearly understand why people cannot stand them!

Corrie and EE. I used to watch Days of Our Lives and General Hospital when I was a teen and into my early 20's, but then I stopped watching it.

I watch EE and Young and the Restless.... enjoy EE far more, but I've watched Y&R for about 30 years off and on, and everyone in my family has watched it at some point. I call it the "Young and the Predictable" since I can usually watch it once or twice a week and figure out what's going on..... still, it's nice to escape reality for awhile

Same here. I used to also watch Emmerdale, but that's not longer shown on CBC.

As a teenager, I used to watch "All My Children", "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital." I haven't watched US soaps in over 10 years, however. I now watch EE and Corrie religiously!!

I think this is actually the 2nd time I've been here, I've no interest in soaps at all. :P
