I'd say an animal is devoid of consideration as to their actions - while these people are very conscious of what they say and do. Negating them as animals makes their insidiousness more dangerous as it attracts those who have been sidelined already to join.

I am not quite sure what you are aiming at faceless. I doubt by calling them animals we are doing any more harm as is already done by these people. I think talking about loosing the high-ground is also almost imposible. The actions of Nazis are very in-humane and it could hence be said their actions are very beast-like. I don't think you are giving them any more power by calling them animals as this does not imply they have the right to act as such, just draws up similarities between the actions of this group of people and wild beasts.

Maybe calling them animals makes it more palatable when they are rounded up into "camps" ?

OK - so a) nobody has been talking about putting Nazis into camps, b) if Nazis would go ahead and follow their intentions (i.e. infringing on other races' freedom) then it is a quite obvious thing to stick them into jail (you could call these institutions camps if you want to). So I am not quite sure where you are going with this ...

So could you call them inhumane?

The problem with that is that they do look after their own as such. I wish it was easy to dismiss them, but that in my experience just leads to more problems.

I don't understand what you mean. Look after their own?

The definition of national socialism (nazi) is that they look after their own country and people first, no matter the cost to others.

Yes, but I was wondering if you could call them inhumane. Not their political standings. I know what a Nazi is. My question is if they can be referred to as inhumane?

I guess that depends on how you define their own. Because as such even though some people have a different skin-colour they are still the same species (i.e. one of their own).

Have you ever seen those documentaries about extremist nazis in america who live in their compound areas? They live in a kind of harmony amongst themselves, so I can't call them inhumane on that level. That doesn't mean I don't find them to be offensive and small-minded bigots in their views though.

That answer makes much more sense to me. Thank you. :)

Isn't this just degenerating into an argument over semantics? I think we all agree that the caller was a vicious piece of shit... why not leave it at that?
