a poem

Post by luke »

talking about madeleine albright has reminded me of a poem ( if you can call it that ) i did when israel was smashing up lebanon last year

if you can do it fast enough it goes well with this little audio loop https://www.sendspace.com/file/s69hhy ( its only 900k )

in tonys blairs britain i don't feel i have a voice
the publics against war but blair backs it with full force

the people of iraq, they knew the score
we're after the oil, we'd been there before

they built a case for war around evidence once discarded
bush and blair must think the people are retarded

'weapons of mass destruction, we know you got them
( we sold you the parts, so iran you could destroy 'um )

check the invoices, all the infos there
the western media won't say, they don't really care

big business media paints a big business world
where peoples thoughts and opinions are managed like a herd

economic sanctions kill half a million children
its worth the price says the witch with the caldron

block off food and strengthen the tyrant
all part of a plan for rich westerners retirement

the united nations, for a one world fascist state
they do nothing but give big business big breaks

for a cease fire in lebanon do the people call
'oh not quite yet, theres still time for war'

oils going up, bush and the cartels are smiling
limiting demand, profits for them are thriving

elections being scammed left right and centre
mexico now, where next, heaven?

hugo chaves, demonised in the media
his only crime to his people; he feeds them

redistributing oil wealth thats always gone to westerners
thats his real crime, against rich peoples agendas

big business is smiling, people continue dying
when will people wake up and see the worlds frying

cheap flights here, there and everywhere
the rich will watch the planets death from the air

Great work Luke !

Faceless, how about a Section or Sticky Thread like the "Galloway pics and mixes" for our creative efforts ? I also have an odd poem or two dealing with the issues we discuss here.
