George to be a dad again

Gorgeous George set to be a dad again
21 March 2007
'GORGEOUS' George Galloway is to become a dad again at the age of 52, the Advertiser can reveal. His girlfriend, Lebanese beauty Rima Husseni, 36, is now heavily pregnant and due to give birth in May. The Bethnal Green and Bow MP is said to be 'totally chuffed'. It will be his second child; he has one grown-up daughter, Lucy, 24, from his first marriage to Elaine Fyffe. nLucy gave birth to Mr Galloway's second grandchild last year.

Respect leader Galloway married Ms Fyffe in 1979, but their relationship ended in 1999. A year later, he wed Palestinian-born Dr Amineh Abu-Zayyad, but she filed for divorce a few days before his barnstorming General Election victory in May 2005. Lebanese beauty Rima was working for the former Labour maverick as an assistant in Bethnal Green and Bow.

Respect where due - a second child for Galloway
By Oliver Duff
Published: 22 March 2007, The Independent

George Galloway MP, Pandora salutes your indefatigability in the sack. For I hear that the honourable member for Bethnal Green and Bow is once again to become a father: his partner, Rima Husseini, is due to give birth in early May. The Lebanese-born Ms Husseini, 36, who presumably does actually believe that George is gorgeous, used to work as an aide at his constituency office. Their low-key relationship has been commented on since she began accompanying him to political and social functions.

It will be the Respect parliamentarian's second child: he has a daughter, Lucy, 24, from his first marriage to Elaine Fyffe. Lucy has given birth to Galloway's two grandchildren. Fyffe and Galloway divorced after 20 years in 1999 and a year later he wed Palestinian biologist Dr Amineh Abu-Zayyad. They separated before his May 2005 general election victory over Oona King.

Galloway, 52, is said to be "chuffed" about the new arrival to the clan. He declined to comment on his private life, so was unable to answer the many questions that come to mind... Will it be "Georgina" or "Baby Che"? Godparents: Fidel? Hugo? Will he quit chomping cigars, near the baby at least? And will he carry it around the House of Commons in a sling over his stomach?

Pandora wishes them all the best.

haha, that would be funny if they did call the child Fidel or Hugo - though "Hugo Galloway" does have a ring to it right enough...

IT'S BABY JOY FOR GEORGE

MAVERICK Scots MP George Galloway has become a father to a baby boy at the age of 52. Galloway's girlfriend, Lebanese Rima Husseini, 36, gave birth to his first son on Sunday afternoon. But Galloway did not let the happy event prevent him from taking to the stage that night for his one-man show. The birth took place at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London at 12.20pm.

By 7.15pm, the Bethnal Green and Bow MP was at the Hackney Empire for a Mother Of All Sundays talk and question-and-answer session. Galloway is said to be "delighted" but the couple have not yet chosen a name for the baby. The new tot is Galloway's second child - he has one daughter, Lucy, 24, from his first marriage to Elaine Fyffe. Lucy gave birth to Galloway's second grandchild last year.

Yesterday, the Respect MP's spokesman, Ron Mackay, said Galloway had no comment to make on the news. He said: "Mr Galloway never comments on his private life." But last night, a close friend of the couple said: "They are both delighted. There have been rumours that the baby might be called Fidel but I think that's a bit wide of the mark."

How about Dylan?

Dylan Galloway?

Except they're not married, so the little fella would take his mother's last name, I suppose...

Anti-Iraq war rebel MP George Galloway has called his first son - born to Lebanese girlfriend Rima Husseini - Zain, an Iraqi name which means friend. The child's second name is not Saddam but George, presumably in honour of his dad, not the occupant of the White House.
