You must be feeling a bit better with an appetite like that!!!Skylace wrote:I just had some fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. I was still a bit peckish after that so I made a quick homemade quesadilla.
What are you eating right now (or want to eat)?

I had sausage casserole tonight - the best thing about it after the satisfaction of scarfing it down with a large dose of mashed King Edwards was the act of buying the sausages themselves. That might seem an odd thing to note, but if you met the butcher I bought them from you'd know different...
He's just a guy who runs an independent shop and was stoic in his defence of the quality of the casing and content of his sausages against the "skins made from paper" and "crap meat" that the supermarkets sell. And you know what? I'll be buying from him again. They were top class.

I've never given that much thought to sausages, although to be fair, I don't eat them that often. I would imagine that a homemade/butcher made would be far better than the mass marketed stuff you'd get at the grocery store.
And sausage casserole sounds darn good right now, too! I do love casseroles!

Mmmmm...we only have one bakery in town (not including the ones in the bigger stores) It's nice but the selection isn't that huge. I miss stuff like that.eefanincan wrote:Going to have a nice slice of fresh cheese bread or hot cross bun that we bought in our favourite bakery when we went for a drive today. Yum!
