I predicted this, dammit!! Servage are one of the most blase of the ISP bandits out there.
Servage.net rips George off - as I predicted
here's what Tony, the guy who runs the Galloway site, said in the Welcome thread here, in case anyone misses it...
Hey hey everyone.
I'm Tony, the bloke who made George Galloway's new website and sits there shaking his head at the prospect of *ever* answering the massive number of emails that we get.
I do it as a volunteer (I work on the London Underground by day/morning/night/afternoon), which gives me the excuse of never actually having to do the things I promise to do. It does mean we're taking waaaaay longer than we thought to get things like the diary, constituency and parliament section up and running. Lots of it is simply about fitting existing data into our format.
Oh yeah - and I'm also the man who has been banging his head against a wall for the last 24 hours trying to deal with our supposed "bandwidth usage" which somehow meant we used more than Microsoft, the BBC and bigknockaz.com combined, and had our site taken offline all evening. I've noticed a couple of comments here, having been pointed that way by faceless. Gotta say, I'm depressed at the prospects - I'm more and more getting the feeling that our host is trying to just stop us offering files for download.
Anyway, I'll try to join in, but I'll probably just end up spending by time asking faceless for favours all the time, so I'll try to keep some distance. You got some great stuff here...
