Jack the lad's sex toy ploy
29/09/06
LEGENDARY womaniser Jack Nicholson says he?s planning to enter the sex toy industry. He wore a huge plastic willy for a scene in which he romps with two hookers in The Departed ? and he was so pleased with it that he announced at the New York premiere: "I?m planning to market them on the internet in day-glo colours!"
The three-in-a-bed scene was eventually axed from the movie. But he still gets to appear with the fake willy ? flashing it at co-star Matt Damon?s character for a laugh. The film is set in the murky world of Boston?s Irish Mafia and Nicholson, 69, plays mob boss Frank Costello.
His character is based on the real-life Irish-American fugitive James "Whitey" Bulger, now 77. Price Crime boss Bulger, famous for bragging of his sexual prowess, went on the run 11 years ago. He is still on the FBI?s Most Wanted list with a million-dollar price on his head.
As well as Damon, 35, the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, 31, as a cop working undercover in the Mob. Mark Wahlberg, 35, and Alec Baldwin, 48, also appear. They all turned out for the premiere, which was attended by Rolling Stones Sir Mick Jagger, 63, and Ronnie Wood, 59, screen icons Lauren Bacall, 82, and Jon Voight, 67, and singer Bono, 46.
The Departed opens in the UK next Friday.
