BB's Pete to try stand-up comedy

Pete Bennett is planning to become a stand-up comic.

The Tourette's sufferer reckons he?s what it takes to make audiences laugh ? and thinks he could be as successful as his hero, Jim Carrey. He said: ?I'm looking into becoming a comedian. I am figuring out that you just have to be yourself when you're on stage. And people laugh at me anyway when I'm being myself.?

Bennett showed off his comedy gift in the Big Brother house with such antics as walking around with a flowerpot on his head. And he has one staple of stand-up material to fall back on: he really has just split up with his girlfriend, fellow Big Brother contestant Nikki Grahame.

He told the Daily Star: ?I used to look up to Jim Carrey as a kid. I thought he could give me some kind of hope because to me, he is a bit Touretty. That's why I love him so much.?

Should be great. He actually does remind me of Jim Carrey, the nutter :)

Well, he has shown some sense in ending his relationship with Nikki -- Pete deserves a medal for putting up with her! :P

I found him more bizarre than funny on Big Brother. He has a really good nature about him and I hope he does well with this.

I agree with you Kezza about showing sense ending it with Nikki. I lost a good bit of respect for his bad judgement on wanting to have anything to do with that whining cow....although she is quite entertaining on Princess Nikki.

I saw Nikki in an interview the other day. She had one of those horrible little Dogs.

She'll be another Paris Hilton...

I don't think she'll be another Paris Hilton. A wannabe perhaps but that'd be it.

I don't see much happening for her after this Princess Nikki show is over. Look at Chantelle from Celeb BB. Her 15 minutes dried up pretty quickly, as I feel Nikki's will once this show is finished with.

Ah, I go away for two weeks and Pete breaks up with Nikki? LOL!!LOL!! Surprise, surprise! LOL!! Good luck with Pete. I wish him much success. He's a good guy.
